Excellent homegrown trees

What are your opening hours?
We are open from 8am to 4pm – Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. However, we are also available outside of these hours by appointment.
When is the bare root season for trees and hedging?
November until March.
Are the trees grown at Craigmore Trees?
The vast majority of our trees listed are grafted and grown by ourselves on the nursery.
Can you source trees that don’t appear on your availability list?
Yes. We have a network of reliable growers across Europe who stock a wide variety of plants with a short supply time.
Can you source shrubs and herbaceous plants too?
Yes, we can source these from our European trading partners.
Can I choose and tag my own trees?
Yes. Customers are welcome to tour the nursery with a qualified member of staff, with relevant advice being offered with regard to the best tree variety for specific situations.
Do trees come labelled?
Yes, all of our potted trees come with a picture label and are pre-priced if requested.
What is the success rate for bare root and root-balled trees?
The success rate of our trees is excellent as they are regularly root pruned and undercut in the ground as this provides a good fibrous root system that minimises planting shock and aids better establishment. Feedback from customers has been very good with stock establishing quickly and growing on well.
What sets your bare root and root-balled trees apart from competitors?
Our trees are only dug to order to ensure a minimal time out of the ground and are used to local conditions. All bare root trees are bagged in the field using heavy plastic tree bags to avoid the roots drying out. Root-balled trees are carefully lifted using a machine, making sure the root ball stays intact before being wrapped and secured.
Where do you deliver to?
We deliver to the UK and Ireland using a combination of our own nursery transport and specialist horticultural hauliers.
Are your trees disease free?
Due to increased disease risk and increasing number of diseases effecting our native trees, by using Craigmore Trees as your supplier you will minimise the risk of disease spreading to the local environment.
